KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Domestic violence, conflict resolution and stress reduction will be addressed at an annual series of programs designed for social workers.

The University of Tennessee College of Social Work’s continuing education program for professionals gets underway in Chattanooga on Aug. 26.

Workshops, dates, times and locations are:

* Aug. 26 — Domestic violence and methods of murder prevention, 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tennessee Valley Authority Mission Ridge auditorium.

* Oct. 9 — Mediation and conflict resolution, 1-4 p.m., Chattanooga State Community College Center for Advanced Technology, Room C-30.

* Oct. 25 — Performance enhancement and stress reduction, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., UTC University Center, Rooms A-B.

Fees range from $25 to $50. The domestic violence workshop is free.

Co-sponsors are the UT Social Work Office of Research and Public Service, TVA Employee Assistance and Federal Women’s Programs, the Chattanooga State Community College Human Services Specialist Program and the UTC Professional School of Social Work and Community Service.
