KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — University of Tennessee faculty members on Sept. 19 will begin a year of teaching at Knox County elementary and secondary schools for the Scholars in the Schools program.

* Dr. Charles Clark, UT-Knoxville math professor, will teach a math class at 9:30 a.m., Room 216, South Doyle Middle School.

* Tamara Miller, associate professor of UT-Knoxville libraries, will be teaching a computer learning course at the Austin-East High School library at 10 a.m.

* Third graders at Westhaven Elementary School will be taught by Dr. Gerald Vaughan, a UT-Knoxville zoology professor, at 10:30 a.m. in the school library. The session will include live animals for children to discuss and examine.

Westhaven faculty and administrators also have scheduled a meeting with Vaughan for 2:45 p.m. in the library to discuss future projects for the school year.
