Dean Richard Wisniewski will announce a three-year educational initiative at the College of Education faculty convocation Wednesday, Sept. 4. UT-Knoxville Chancellor John Quinn and Anne Dowling of Philip Morris Companies, which is joining the university in sponsoring the new program, will have comments.
The convocation begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Shiloh Room of the University Center. Dr. Wisniewski estimates discussion of the new program will begin at about 3 p.m., and the media are welcome to come into the meeting at anytime. The dean, Dr. Quinn and Ms. Dowling will be available after the meeting, at about 3:30, for interviews.
