KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — A University of Tennessee Chair of Excellence holder has been named to an honorary professorship at one of China’s leading universities.
Dr. Bimal K. Bose is one of seven individuals named to
the honorary post at Shanghai University of Technology. Bose holds the Condra Chair of Excellence in Power Electronics at
UT-Knoxville.
Bose was in China earlier this month to receive the honor. He was nominated by the head of the department of automatic control at Shanghai, who called Bose ”the world’s recognized expert in power electronics.”
UT While he was in China, Bose also gave lectures in Beijing and Xian. He came to UT-Knoxville in 1987.
