In addition to Gov. McWherter’s 2 p.m. speech Thursday in the University Center Ballroom, he will attend a luncheon with University of Tennessee officials, faculty, students, and alumni leaders at 12:30 p.m. in the Center’s Executive Dining Room, Room 324. Chairs will be set up for the media in the reception area of the dining room.
For the 2 p.m. speech, the governor’s office has requested that no media microphones be placed on the podium. A sound box will be provided for broadcast media. TV crews are requested to use the riser located at the right front of the room. The first two rows of the right section of the ballroom will be reserved for media seating.
